Childhood cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the United States.
D.C. United are committed to playing our part in changing that for good, by raising awareness and funds, as well as offering hope and strength to all of the brave, young children fighting cancer.
On Wednesday, September 16, D.C. United donated 100 special care packages provided by Major League Soccer partner, Continental Tire, to Children’s National patients.
D.C. United Captain, Steve Birnbaum, was joined by center back partners, Frédéric Brillant and Donovan Pines, as well as the club’s two official #KickChildhoodCancer ambassadors, Chris Odoi-Atsem and Chris Seitz, to load the Audi Q3, which delivered the packages to the brave young patients being cared for at Children’s National.
From now through September 29 you can join us in supporting the effort to find a cure by bidding on amazing D.C. United items and by nominating a child fighting a battle with cancer to receive a special message from a D.C. United player. All you have to do is visit: chanceforlife.net/kick
